The planned area of xi 'an Olympic sports center is about 5 square kilometers, with an estimated investment of 17 billion yuan. Focusing on the needs of sports events, it will focus on the construction of three venues and two service centers. The three major venues are: a 60,000-seat main stadium with an estimated investment of 2.5 billion yuan; A comprehensive stadium with a capacity of 18,000 people is expected to invest 1 billion yuan; A 4,000-seat diving center is expected to cost 1 billion yuan. The two service centers are an Olympic sports command and operation center and a news media center.

On October 9, 2017, the foundation was laid and construction began. In June 2018, the first lifting of the platform was completed, marking a new stage of the construction of the stadium project.
