Shenzhen north station is "four main four auxiliary" shenzhen railway passenger transportation pattern (four main: shenzhen north station, station, shenzhen ping shan station in shenzhen, shenzhen airport station (planning), four auxiliary: guangzhou east station, shenzhen for Mr Fukuda, pinghu, xili stand (planning) is the most core of the station, is the current construction in shenzhen area, construction area of the largest and biggest transferring function of oversize complete and most comprehensive railway hub, is shenzhen's largest and the most advanced equipment technology, the traffic's largest train station, is the symbol of the China railway new room station project.

Total construction area of shenzhen north railway station: 182,074 m2, including:

(1) building area :74573㎡,

(2) platform: 34,146 square meters

(3) the north and south side of the main roof cantilever :4292㎡,

(4) no station pillar canopy: 68,488 square meters (steel structure coverage area). The building is 413m long and 208m wide with a projected area of 85000㎡.
